Nothing on the road gives me more frustration than a car that's travelling well BELOW the speed limit for no discernable reason. Even worse is when they are in the "passing" lane.
Ended up behind one of those nitwits today... stuck for almost 30 blocks behind some pokey-ass idiot. New-looking truck, mid 30's guy, not looking left and right like he was looking for something... just poking along holding up traffic.
So... what's your biggest "I hate it when I'm driving and _________ happens!"?

Here it's tractors, they drive on the local streets and some do like 10 miles an hour and refuse to move over.

I hate when drivers have to cut you off just to be first at the red light. Especially the non-signalers. Most especially when the entitled turd fails to find their gas pedal once the light is green.
I hate when drivers change lanes at red lights anyway since one is preparing to stop based on the distance one has in front of them and now suddenly has to adjust for some turd just having to get over instead of waiting until after the intersection. Statistically, in my experience, it's very rare that the turd is turning at or just after the intersection. But, the ones that have to almost remove your bumper just to be first at the light really piss me off.

Drivers going at least the speed limit here isn't really a problem unless it's snowbird season. Even then, avoid the stereotypical old people cars and the retirement home areas and you'll be fine.

Left-lane campers. Tailgaters. Texters. But most of all, people who don't understand zipper merge and become the Lane Police trying to keep you from merging by pulling halfway over into the merging lane.

Remember the Kevin chesney song “she thinks my tractor is sexy”? The only passion it raises in me is road rage. I honestly had a very hard time getting use to how slow small town drivers are. I was use to Los Angeles type of driving. Now I don’t think I could drive in California traffic again.

Oh I hate those who don't grasp how to zipper merge. It's so efficient and easy but there's always has to be someone thinks the road belongs to them. I call them gotta-be-firsters. ADOT posts every so often about how drivers are supposed to zipper merge and there's always some people on the post having a tantrum about how it's not fair that they got over early and someone else is cutting the line way ahead. Well, it's your fault you didn't avail yourself of the open lane!

Anyone have traffic circles in their area?
They're gaining popularity here. I've been honked at many times by people who don't understand that the traffic IN the traffic circle has right of way. ADOT has put out multiple PSAs on how they work but they seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

ADOT has put out multiple PSAs on how they work but they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. We do, a few in town. And yes, people don't get them. It's kind of funny to me because way back in the 70s, we already had a few in Virginia, and there were no issues. As a matter of fact, I have a funny story about a traffic circle. As I said, it was the 70s, and I was quite young. My friend and I had been out to the bar one night, and I had a bit too much to drink. She was driving her Chevy van that had big wide tires on the back. We were going around a traffic circle going home and I started feeling sick, didn't realize we were circling and not going straight, opened the door to lean out and throw up, and fell out. (Yeah. Don't judge me, I was a kid.) She braked hard and screamed, she thought I might have gotten run over by the big wide tires on the back. Fortunately, I didn't, just jumped back up and climbed back in. She always tells the story that I didn't feel a thing (as is generally the case with drunk people) and acted like nothing had happened at all. No body damage, I guess I just rolled. It was nice to be young and resilient. These days, I would have broken all kinds of shit, LOL.

I'm honestly surprised we haven't had any wrecks yet. Fortunately the few traffic circles we have are on very light-traffic roads.

The first time I went through one I ended up circling back to where I entered. I could do it but don’t like it.

ADOT has fairly recently gotten a penchant for diverging diamond interchanges at freeway entrances/exits. It's amazing that there haven't been more wrong way crashes. We have a lot of wrong way drivers here and not always late at night. A couple months back, there was one during afternoon rush hour. I saw the alert on the overhead sign and got off the freeway. I am not dealing with that nonsense.

That "Diverging Diamond Interchange" (DDI) is one of the dumbest ideas I have ever seen. Sorry... it just is. Switching lanes ACROSS EACH OTHER? Who came up with that idiocy. There is however a "Double Crossover Merging Interchange" (DCMI) which is basically the same as a DDI... but with one difference: the lanes don't cross each other on the same level at a light. The "side switch" is accomplished with bridges or tunnels (see image).

The same geniuses think it's a good to have white lane markings on light gray stretches of freeways. It's absolutely wonderful during those times of day when the sun is shining on the road!

Okay, that DDI is truly ridiculous.
Which reminds me, there was another wreck this morning on the express lanes somewhere in DFW, can't remember where, I saw it on the traffic report this morning.
After that catastrophic wreck in 2021 in Fort Worth on the express lane when it iced, 130+ vehicles, six killed and dozens injured, I have been reluctant to use them. It's like a trap, no way out. We have Toll Tags cuz my husband needs to use them traveling to and from work in Dallas, but damn.

the "passing lane" is for that and only that... PASSING. i don't care if you're doing the speed limit or above. if not passing, you have NO business being in that lane.
here in New Jersey, if you ride in the passing lane for anything other than PASSING somebody, you're labeled a "left lane dick".

Actually, there is a safety reason for staying in the right lane instead of the left. If someone is going the wrong way on a divided highway, they are going to be driving in what is, to them, the right lane. That's the left lane to the people going the correct way. So people in the left lane are most likely to be hit head on by a wrong-way driver.
I taught my kids that to keep them safe (and in the right lane).
