The uber-popular fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A has recently published its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) statement, which appears to be a complete abandonment of its long-held Christian values. A statement recently released on the company website states that one of its "core values" is "that we are better together."

Chick-fil-A's statement continued: "When we combine our unique backgrounds and experiences with a culture of belonging, we can discover new ways to strengthen the quality of care we deliver: to customers, to the communities we serve and to the world. We understand that getting Better at Together means we learn better, care better, grow better and serve better. Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s commitment to being Better at Together means embedding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in everything we do."

On Tuesday, Chik-fil-A revealed it was appointing Erick McReynolds to serve as the new vice president of DEI, prompting many furious reactions on Twitter from conservatives who say the fast-food giant has officially "gone woke," per The New York Post.

The restaurant was at the center of controversy in 2012, when the restaurant's chief executive officer, Dan T. Cathy, who is now the chairman of the company, made a series of public statements that appeared to oppose same-sex marriage. Now, the restaurant has caved on its values, going all-in on DEI talking points.

I never thought I'd see the day when Chick-fil-A abandoned its religious principles and adopted the absolutely anti-Christian D.E.I. agenda.

BUT... them abandoning their Christian principles isn't why I won't be eating there anymore (they could have done so by being open on Sundays, for example, and I would have embraced them for doing that... I'd love a Chicken Sandwich on Sundays sometimes)... it's their adoption of the garbage D.E.I. agenda.

I'll have to wait and see how this plays but they've always been open to hiring people who are not Christian and do not have Christian values according to people I know who have worked there.

And they did that without having to create the position of "V.P. of D.E.I."... The fact that they created this position signals to me that they are going to embrace woke DEI standards.

Maybe I'm wrong... but if I am, and if they've always been pretty inclusive and diverse (which I agree, they have been)... why create this office?

For appearances? So there's something on paper that shows they're inclusive? That'd be my guess. For all I know, they've bowed to pressure and boarded the woke train. I sure hope not but time will tell.

For sure. It'd also be contrary to Biblical teaching.

I'm pissed at the woke agenda tonight. Went to Sprout's for the first time in a long time and discovered they're now charging for bags. I was already peeved due to most of their onions being rotted. The potatoes weren't much better. They're known for having good produce. DH and I figured we'd stop in and see how their prices were compared to other stores in the area. We were shocked at the poor quality. So, getting to the register and discovering the bag charge was the icing on the crap cake. We had brought in a cooler bag since we had planned on another stop and wanted to keep our purchases temperature-controlled but had we not, we simply wouldn't have gotten a bag.

I sure hope AZ isn't going woke. It's been turning into Commiefornia-lite for awhile now, sadly. I'm hoping the pendulum will swing back the other way but it's not looking good yet.

I've never been to one but it does surprise me that they would give way to this crap.
