Well... I gave it a shot.
I'll leave the board open and if it takes off again, it takes off... if it doesn't, it doesn't. I gave it my best for over three months.

Seems like everything else trends change. Seems like very few want to be on message boards anymore, at least not ones that are more relational for lack of a better word. Some who are more general not personal as you don’t hear about their personal life are doing ok. I can no longer get on one board because I have to enable cookies and somehow no matter what I do it won’t do it. My favorites though are getting less and less activity and it makes me sad.
I was excited to see this board activate again and see familiar posters.

I was excited when I opened it back up and many responded. and I was also happy to see so many familiar people come back and say "hi". I hope that it does pick up. I do agree that trends change and people's lives change... and message boards aren't as popular as they once were. |

For me, I don't work. I schlep DS to and from school. I run the schedule for my family and my parents. My daily life is mundane so not much to post about.
Currently, I'm sorting through my grandma's stuff a few hours at a time. For a woman who complained about hoarders, she sure hoarded a lot of stuff. I do have a funny though. Richard - you'll appreciate this: She had a shirt with the words group therapy on it. The picture? Was a bunch of images of people in various sexual positions. Grandma, you naughty girl, lol!

I'd hate to see it shut down.
I just don't see many topics that I have anything to say about.
And my life is...full of stuff not worth posting about. Or at least it seems that way to me.

Like I mentioned, I won't be shutting it down. It will be open as long as it can be. I'll occasionally post a thread here and there to keep it active even if no one else does... just in case people want it to take off again. I've just given up on my goal of trying to start at least 5 topics a week, since no one else was starting topics or even posting much on the ones I started. |

Well... I don't know if I agree with "as soon as"... but I do agree with the general premise that differences of opinion on message boards do often devolve quickly. |
